About Hygge House

About Hygge House

Hygge House is a special place and a retreat for our family that we like to share with other families. We bought the house in late 2021 as a way for us to get away and into the Green Mountains of Vermont to enjoy the nature, wildlife, and quiet family time that we love.

About our Family

We're a family of 4, now with 2 teenagers. We love hiking and snowshoeing the many trails in Green Mountain National Forest and the surrounding area, skiing at Stratton Mountain and Mount Snow, paddling on Grout Pond, and enjoying the peace and quiet of our 3.5 private acres, feeling hidden from the world.

About our Team

Caring for our guests and maintaining Hygge House in top shape takes a team of people. We are fortunate and grateful to have found and assembled a team of local Vermonters who help us make a great experience for you and your family.

Heather B - She's the conductor of this orchestra. She is our eyes, ears, and literal boots on the ground for anything and everything. She inspects the property regularly to ensure a great guest experience and uses her local knowledge and relationships along with years of property management experience to take care of our guests.

John - Heather B's husband and resident VT DOT plow driver, John is our first go to for all things requiring someone handy. From preventative maintenance to fixing a whoosawhatzit, John is there for us when we need him.

Kimberly - Dedicated, detail-oriented, and all-around-amazing, Kimberly is our primary cleaner along with her mom. She lives in the area and appreciates and delivers on the details that make our house such a special experience. From cleaning and laundry to ensuring all of the decor is placed 'just so' before each guest, she helps make sure that your experience is a great one. She's also the one who carts off your trash to the Town transfer station as up here in the mountains, there is no curbside trash collection.

Grayson - Snow happens...a lot, in Vermont. In fact, if you join us in the winter, that's probably why you came for a visit. Grayson takes care of keeping our 500+ ft driveway and large parking area clear and giving you access to come and go and enjoy all that the Southern Green Mountains have to offer in the winter. He plows, he sands, he shovels, he does what it takes.
